Token Packs & Purchases
GolemDrive’s AI features run on tokens. Every plan includes some AI usage, but if you want more, you can purchase token packs as a one-time buy. No subscription, no recurring charges — just buy what you need when you need it.
Token packs
Section titled “Token packs”Three packs are available, each a one-time purchase:

Larger packs offer better value per token. If you use AI features regularly, the Professional pack is the most cost-effective option.
How to buy tokens
Section titled “How to buy tokens”- Go to Account > AI Usage
- Click Buy Tokens
- Select the pack you want
- If you have a coupon code, enter it at checkout for a discount
- Complete payment
- Tokens are added to your balance instantly
That’s it. No waiting, no activation step. Your new tokens are ready to use immediately after purchase.
What tokens are used for
Section titled “What tokens are used for”Tokens power the AI features throughout GolemDrive:
- AI chatbox queries — ask the AI assistant questions in plain English (find files, check your usage, create share links, manage settings, and more)
- Auto-classification — let AI automatically categorize and tag your files based on their content
- Advanced search — use natural language search to find files by describing what you’re looking for instead of remembering exact file names
Different actions use different amounts of tokens. Simple chatbox queries use fewer tokens than complex multi-step operations. Your current token balance and recent usage are visible on the Account > AI Usage page.
Token balance and expiry
Section titled “Token balance and expiry”- Tokens don’t expire. Once purchased, your tokens stay in your account until you use them. There’s no time limit.
- Tokens stack. If you buy multiple packs, they’re all added to a single balance. Buy a Starter pack now and a Standard pack next month, and you’ll have the combined total minus whatever you’ve used.
- Balance is visible anytime. Check your current token count on the Account > AI Usage page.
Using a coupon
Section titled “Using a coupon”If you have a coupon code:
- Start the token purchase flow (Account > AI Usage > Buy Tokens)
- Select your pack
- On the checkout screen, look for the Coupon field
- Enter your code and apply it
- The discounted price will be shown before you confirm payment
Coupons can provide a percentage discount or a fixed amount off. Each coupon has its own terms (one-time use, expiry date, minimum purchase, etc.).
Payment
Section titled “Payment”All token purchases are processed securely through Stripe. GolemDrive never sees or stores your full card number. You can use any payment method that Stripe supports, including credit cards and debit cards.
Receipts for token purchases are available in Account > Billing alongside your subscription invoices.
- Start with the Starter pack if you’re trying AI features for the first time. 500 tokens is enough to get a feel for how they work before committing to a larger pack.
- Watch your usage patterns. The AI Usage page shows how many tokens you’ve used recently. If you’re burning through tokens quickly, the Professional pack will save you money in the long run.
- Tokens are account-wide. Your token balance is shared across all your devices and sessions. Buy on your laptop, use on your phone.
