Favorites & Quick Access
When you have lots of files, it’s nice to have a shortcut to the ones you use all the time. That’s what favorites are for.
Add a file or folder to favorites
Section titled “Add a file or folder to favorites”See that star icon next to a file or folder? Click it. That’s it — the item is now in your favorites. The star fills in to show it’s been marked.
You can favorite files, folders, or both. There’s no limit to how many favorites you can have.
Find your favorites
Section titled “Find your favorites”Click Favorites in the sidebar on the left side of the dashboard. This page shows all your starred items in one place, so you don’t have to dig through folders to find them.
Remove from favorites
Section titled “Remove from favorites”Changed your mind? Click the star again on any favorited item to remove it. It’s removed from your favorites page, but the file itself stays right where it is — nothing gets deleted.
What favorites are good for
Section titled “What favorites are good for”- Files you open every day. That spreadsheet you update each morning, your active project folder, your team’s shared document — star them and save yourself the clicking.
- Files buried deep in folders. If something important lives five folders deep, starring it gives you one-click access from the Favorites page.
- Temporary bookmarks. Working on something this week? Star the relevant files, then unstar them when you’re done.
- Favorites are just for you. Your favorites are personal. Other people on your team have their own separate favorites list.
- Favorites don’t move files. Starring a file doesn’t copy or move it anywhere. It just creates a shortcut so you can find it faster.
- Works on any file type. Documents, photos, videos, folders — you can favorite anything.
