Creating a Team
Teams let you share encrypted storage with other people. Whether it’s a work project, a family photo collection, or a group of friends, a team gives everyone a shared space to upload, download, and organize files together — all fully encrypted.
How to create a team
Section titled “How to create a team”- Open your GolemDrive dashboard
- Click Teams in the sidebar
- Click Create Team
- Give your team a name — pick something descriptive so members know what it’s for
- Click Create
That’s it. Your team is ready.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”When you create a team, a few things happen automatically:
- A shared storage space is created for the team. Any files uploaded to team folders are accessible to all members (based on their role).
- You become the Owner. As the person who created the team, you have full control — you can invite people, manage settings, and delete the team if needed.
- Everything stays encrypted. Files in team folders are encrypted just like your personal files. Team members get secure access through their own accounts.
A few things to know
Section titled “A few things to know”- You can create more than one team. Each team has its own separate space and its own members.
- The team’s storage comes from your plan. If you’re on a plan with 500 GB, team files count toward that limit.
- Team names can be changed later in the team settings if you want to rename things down the road.
What’s next?
Section titled “What’s next?”Now that your team exists, you’ll probably want to:
- Invite some members — get your people in
- Understand roles — learn who can do what
- Check team billing — see how storage and seats work
