Upload & Download History

GolemDrive keeps a record of every file you upload and download. This makes it easy to find something you transferred recently, verify that a transfer went through, or figure out what happened if something went wrong.

Go to History > Uploads (or visit /history/upload) to see a list of all your uploads. Each entry shows:

  • File name — the name of the file you uploaded
  • Date and time — when the upload happened
  • File size — how large the file was
  • Status — whether the upload completed successfully, is still in progress, or failed

The list is sorted by most recent first, so your latest uploads are always at the top.

Go to History > Downloads (or visit /history/download) to see everything you’ve downloaded. Each entry shows:

  • File name — what you downloaded
  • Date and time — when you downloaded it
  • File size — the size of the downloaded file

This includes files you downloaded to your device as well as files you previewed or opened for offline access.

Both the upload and download history pages let you filter by date range. This is handy when you’re looking for a specific transfer and you roughly remember when it happened. Pick a start and end date, and the list narrows down to just that period.

  • Tracking what you shared. Before sending a file to someone, you can check your upload history to confirm it’s actually in GolemDrive and verify the right version was uploaded.
  • Verifying transfers. If you’re not sure whether an upload finished — maybe your connection dropped halfway through — the history page shows you the status so you don’t have to guess.
  • Debugging failed uploads. If an upload failed, the history entry will indicate that. You can then re-upload the file knowing the previous attempt didn’t go through.
  • Personal record keeping. Some people like knowing exactly what they’ve moved in and out of their account. The history pages give you that full picture.
  • History is stored per-account. Your history is tied to your GolemDrive account, not your device. You’ll see the same history whether you’re on your phone, laptop, or the PWA.
  • Deleted files still appear in history. Even if you delete a file later, the upload or download entry remains in your history. The history is a record of the transfer, not the file itself.
  • Use date filters to narrow things down. If you have a long history, scrolling through everything can be slow. The date filter saves time when you’re looking for something specific.
