Social Features in the Portal

GolemDrive has a set of social features built into the portal. You can follow creators, see their updates in a personal feed, send tips, and manage who you interact with. All social features require a free GolemDrive account.

Follow a creator

Following a creator means their new uploads will appear in your feed.

1. Visit the creator’s profile page at golemdrive.com/u/username or golemdrive.com/profile/userId.
2. Click the Follow button on their profile.
3. Done. From now on, their new uploads will appear in your feed.

Unfollow a creator

1. Visit the creator’s profile page, or go to your Following page.
2. Click the Unfollow button.
3. Their uploads will no longer appear in your feed.

View your followers

Your followers are people who have chosen to follow you.

1. Go to /followers from the portal menu (or click Followers in your profile area).
2. You’ll see a paginated list of everyone who follows you.
3. Click on any person’s name to visit their profile.
4. If you want to follow them back, click Follow Back next to their name.

View who you follow

1. Go to /following from the portal menu.
2. You’ll see a list of everyone you currently follow.
3. Click Unfollow next to anyone you want to stop following.
4. Click on any person’s name to visit their profile.

Your feed

The feed is a personalized timeline of uploads from everyone you follow.

1. Go to /feed from the portal navigation.
2. You’ll see the latest uploads from everyone you follow, newest first.
3. Use the category filters at the top to narrow down what you see:
   • All — everything from everyone you follow
   • Images — photos, graphics, screenshots
   • Videos — video files
   • Documents — PDFs, spreadsheets, presentations, text files
4. Click a creator’s name on any item to visit their profile page.
5. Click a file to open its download page.
6. Keep scrolling to load more items automatically.

If your feed looks empty, you probably haven’t followed anyone yet. Visit some creator pages and click Follow to start filling it up.

Block a user

Blocking someone prevents them from seeing your profile and files.

1. Visit the person’s profile page at golemdrive.com/profile/userId.
2. Click the Block button.
3. A confirmation dialog appears. Confirm the block.
4. The blocked person can no longer view your profile or access your files. They won’t be notified that you blocked them.

To unblock someone, visit their profile again and click Unblock.

Report a user

If someone is posting spam, inappropriate content, copyrighted material, or anything else that violates the rules, you can report them.

1. Visit the person’s profile page.
2. Click the Report button.
3. Choose a reason for the report:
   • Spam — the user is posting junk or promotional content
   • Inappropriate content — offensive or harmful material
   • Copyright violation — the user is sharing content they don’t have rights to
   • Other — anything else that doesn’t fit the categories above
4. Add any additional details if you’d like (optional but helpful).
5. Click Submit.
6. The report is sent to the GolemDrive moderation team for review. You won’t receive a direct response, but the team will investigate.

Send a tip

Tipping lets you send money directly to a creator whose work you appreciate.

1. Visit the creator’s profile page.
2. Click the Tip button.
3. Choose a tip amount. You can pick from preset amounts ($1, $5, $10, $25, $50, $100) or enter a custom amount.
4. Click Continue to proceed to payment.
5. Complete the payment through Stripe (credit card, debit card, or other supported payment methods).
6. The creator receives 95% of the tip amount. GolemDrive takes a 5% platform fee.
7. The creator gets a notification that they received a tip.

Tips are one-time payments. If you want to support a creator on an ongoing basis, look into subscribing to their premium content instead.
