Sharing Multiple Files (Collections)

A collection lets you bundle multiple files together and share them all with a single link. Recipients see all the files on one page and can download whichever ones they want. Collections can include files from anywhere in your account, not just files in the same folder.

  1. Open your dashboard and navigate to the files you want to share.
  2. Select 2 to 50 files by checking the boxes next to each file. You can select files from the current folder view.
  3. Click Share as Collection in the toolbar that appears above the file list.
  4. In the dialog that opens:
    • Enter a collection title (required). This is what recipients see as the heading on the download page.
    • Add an optional message to include a note for recipients.
    • Optionally toggle Password Protection on and type a password.
    • Optionally toggle Expiry on and enter the number of days (1 to 365) before the link expires.
  5. Click Create.
  6. A share link is generated. Click Copy Link to copy it to your clipboard.
  7. Send the link to your recipients. The link format is: golemdrive.com/c/{shortCode}

When someone opens a collection link, they see:

  • The collection title you entered as the page heading.
  • Your optional message, if you included one.
  • A list of all the files in the collection, showing each file’s name, size, and type.
  • A download button next to each file so they can download individual files.
  • The ability to browse and scroll through the full collection.

Recipients do not need a GolemDrive account. They just open the link and download what they need.

  1. Go to Share Links in the sidebar.
  2. Find your collection in the list. Collections are shown alongside individual file shares.
  3. Click the edit icon on the collection.
  4. Change any setting: title, message, password, or expiry.
  5. Click Save. Changes take effect immediately.

Collections are created from the files you select at creation time. To change which files are included, create a new collection with the files you want and revoke the old one.

  • Minimum: 2 files per collection.
  • Maximum: 50 files per collection.
  • If you need to share more than 50 files, consider sharing a folder instead, which includes all files and subfolders.

Collections support the same access controls as any share link:

  • Password protection — recipients must enter the password before they can see the collection.
  • Expiry date — set the number of days (1 to 365) the link remains active.
  • Download limits — limit how many times files in the collection can be downloaded.

See Passwords, Expiry & Access Controls for detailed instructions on each setting.

  1. Go to Share Links in the sidebar.
  2. Find the collection.
  3. Click the chart icon to view analytics.
  4. See total views, downloads, and activity over time.

See Share Analytics for more details.

Revoking and deleting work the same way as individual share links:

  1. Go to Share Links in the sidebar.
  2. Find the collection.
  3. Click Revoke to disable it immediately. The link stops working.
  4. To delete permanently: revoke first, then click Delete and confirm.
