Activity Log
Your activity log is a record of everything that happens in your GolemDrive account. Use it to keep track of your own actions or to spot anything unusual.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Go to Account > Activity Log. You’ll see a chronological list of events, with the most recent activity at the top.
What’s logged
Section titled “What’s logged”The activity log tracks:
- File uploads — when you uploaded a file, its name, and where it was placed
- File downloads — when you or someone else downloaded a file
- Shares created — when you created a new share link, and for which file
- Shares accessed — when someone opened or downloaded from one of your share links
- Login activity — when you signed in, from what device and location
- Account changes — password changes, settings updates, subscription changes
- Encryption audit — when encryption keys were used, generated, or accessed
Using the activity log
Section titled “Using the activity log”Check for unusual activity
Section titled “Check for unusual activity”Review your login history regularly. If you see a login from a device or location you don’t recognize, change your password immediately.
Track share link usage
Section titled “Track share link usage”See exactly when someone accessed your share links and how many times. This is useful for verifying that files reached the right people.
Audit encryption key usage
Section titled “Audit encryption key usage”The encryption audit section shows when your encryption keys were used. This gives you visibility into the cryptographic operations happening on your account — when keys were generated for new files, when they were used for decryption during downloads, and when key-related changes occurred.
Reading the log
Section titled “Reading the log”Each entry in the log shows:
- Timestamp — exactly when the event happened
- Event type — what kind of action occurred (upload, download, login, etc.)
- Details — specifics like file names, IP addresses, or device information
- Status — whether the action succeeded or failed
- If something looks wrong, change your password and review your active sessions
- The activity log is a read-only record — entries cannot be edited or deleted
- Use the log alongside your notification settings for a complete picture of account activity
