Some keyboard shortcuts may conflict with built-in browser or operating system shortcuts. Here are the known cases and their workarounds.
Shortcut Conflict Notes Ctrl+KFirefox focuses the address bar by default. GolemDrive intercepts this before it reaches the browser. If it does not work, click inside the page first to ensure the app has focus. Ctrl+DMost browsers open the “Bookmark this page” dialog. GolemDrive intercepts this when files are selected. The browser default fires only when no files are selected. Ctrl+USome browsers open “View Page Source”. GolemDrive intercepts this on file listing pages. Ctrl+Shift+NChrome/Edge opens a new incognito/private window. GolemDrive intercepts this on file listing pages. If it opens a private window instead, click inside the page first. Ctrl+Shift+TBrowsers typically reopen the last closed tab. GolemDrive intercepts this, but if the browser captures it first, use the command palette (Ctrl+K) and type “trash” instead. F2On macOS, F2 may be mapped to screen brightness. Ensure “Use F1, F2, etc. as standard function keys” is enabled in System Settings, or hold Fn+F2.
Tip
If a shortcut is not working, try clicking inside the page content first. Shortcuts are only active when the app — not the browser chrome — has keyboard focus. They are also disabled while typing in input fields, text areas, or search bars.
